If you have bars of snickers, Hershey’s or M&M’s in your office desk drawer, get rid of all those stuff immediately.  Instead you might want to bring along a food container storing some of your well-prepared fruit recipes or salads and place them near to you for easy reach  Whenever you feel inclined to eat something, reach out and grab a piece of those.  It will put your hunger or cravings at bay.  Some examples of food that you can place in the container would be sliced pineapples, apple with low fat dips and cucumber slices.

The best kinds of food are those that are freshly prepared and served as soon as they are ready.  Nothing can beat the taste and nutritional value of a home cooked meal.  But when you are busy with work and building your career, or if you are living alone, cooking and preparing our own meals can be a very daunting and tedious task.  Most of us would chose to dine out or buy pre-prepared meals that comes in frozen form or even canned food.

Canned food is rich in salt or sodium, which is bad for your weight loss plan; they will store water and causes you to gain weight.  Instead, opt for frozen food if you need to have pre-prepared meals ready made.  It is easy to split the frozen food into two or three and save the rest for tomorrow.  Not only this saves your effort to lose weight, it saves you money.

Real Life Diet Tip #4: Prepare Your Meal Slowly
It is important to pay attention when you prepare those meals.  It seems to send a message to your subconscious mind that you are making something for your dinner or lunch and you are eating.  This small move tends to fill you up and you will be less likely to start feeling hungry within the next hour or two.  Sometimes, when we are doing two things at one time, it is easy to disregard one action and then feeling the urge to that all over again, just because we were not paying attention during the first time.

This is very true when eating is in question.  We often do not miss out on the opportunity to fill our bellies with our favorite food, even when we had just finished our meal a few hours ago.  This is very apparent when you eat while standing up and talking, you will tend to forget you had had your meal and your body will soon start to crave for more food to fill it up.
